Find some friends who all want to lose weight. Not everyone needs to be the same size, but you should all be trying to lose the same amount of weight. Someone who needs to lose 5 pounds and someone who needs to lose 30 pounds will be doing different kinds of exercises in order to see results. Then, set your goals, and also set a plan. Figure out when you will be working out together, and how you will keep each other motivated. There will be days that you do not want to work out but your friends will be able to get you to. Then, other days, your friend may not want to work out and eat right, but you’ll be able to help them out and motivate them. That is why accountability works.
Another way to get support and some accountability is to get your family involved. If your spouse is willing to work with you and support you, you’ll be able to keep healthier foods in the house and they will make sacrifices on what they eat as well. You can even get your kids involved in helping you. Going to the park and playing with your kids can be a great fun way to burn calories. If you have little kids, have them get on your back when you’re doing pushups, for a fun ride for them and a more intense (but fun) workout for you.
