A Few Strange and Weird Animals
There are several species in the animal kingdom that could be classified as strange animals. Some are unusual in their appearance, while others are strange in their behavior. One strange and rare species is the red panda. Pandas as a general rule are considered rare animals, because they don’t often mate successfully. The red type of this species has a head that resembles the head of a fox. It also looks very cat like in its appearance and has a long bushy tail. It also has large round eyes, which give it the appearance of an animated character.
The only real similarity between the standard Panda and the Red variety is they both have a toy like look about them. They look as though they are large stuffed animals rather than wild beasts. Another unusual and not often seen animal is the pink armadillo. This animal is usually located in Argentina and does not migrate too far out of its natural habitat. There are a lot of strange looking animals in the desert regions that most people never get a chance to actually see up close. Many of these fall into the reptile category of animals, such as the Frilled Lizard.
This is a very ornamental looking small reptile that has a colorful neck fold it can extend to ward off enemies or attract a female. The small animals that are able to change shape by puffing up or extending various areas, are among some of the strangest looking animals on the planet. The weirdness is not limited to small reptiles, however, and can be found in a species of dog named Komondor. When left to grow its hair naturally, this dog will grow long, thick cords that can totally obscure the body of the animal. With a full coat of hair, the Komondor is one of the strangest looking dogs you will ever see.
